SOS is for people from sixteen upwards. If you are a student (of any variety!), or are new in the workplace, and you need a church to help you survive spiritually, then we'd love to have you join us. Our main purpose isn't to entertain you - although we do have lots of fun. Rather, we want to help to equip you to live a life which glorifies God - wherever you are, and whatever you're doing.
Students attending SOS at Belvidere enjoy what we'd call a Student Survival Scheme. You'll get regular hospitality (free meals!), as much help with transport as we can give you, fellowship of a group of young Christians, plenty chance to learn with older Christians, and the opportunity to really get stuck into a local church. At a time of great spiritual risk for people moving away from home, we'll be encouraging you to make church a priority, and so help you to see your time at University as a great spiritual opportunity to grow in your walk with God.
SOS Bible
Study
The SOS Bible Study meets regularly, engaging you to apply the Bible and its lessons to your life today. SOS tackles relevant issues that will help you deal with the many pressures young people face.
Open
House
Our "Open House" scheme is great for fellowship and food. Early in term we'll make sure that there's always somewhere to go for lunch on Sundays, (with a lift back to church for the evening if you want it) - and we'll still do it once or twice a month throughout the rest of the academic year. We have full church lunches too, where you can get to meet everyone. There's plenty of people in the church who'll be really pleased to get to know you personally, too.
SOS
Socials
We love fun and games with some of the attractions around Liverpool. Bowling, "Go Ape", walks up Moel Famau, Progressive Supper, cinema trips, and general fun and games is all on the agenda. |
